Y ME??? Y ME!!!?? THE CHOSEN ONE!!
So how did it happen?
As usual, went for my morning trainings... u know, when u wake up too early and u rush out of house, there are certain daily routine that u have to do or most of time do when u get up in the mornings? ie washing up, at least peeing once... have your breakfast etc. well.. i haven’t poo-ed yet.. as one of my friend put in.. the morning dung'. yup..
Since i was early that morning and the team wasnt really here yet and i had a feeling to use the proper toilet instead of the mobile one at the range (i usually use the mobile one cox the proper one is at the CC and I was kinda lazy to walk there just to pee.. opportunity cost: low). I had the mood to go over there.
Given that it was such a nice morning... nice air, cooling breeze, decided to JOG there.. here's where one of my decision is totally not USEFUL!! As i was jogging... i saw a pair of senior citizens jogging as well, in front of me.. and then.. i was distracted... not by they way they run or anything, i just thought to myself, 'How sweet.' Then the next second, i heard an answer coming from my foot, 'CRACKED'. And by the 3rd second, I was on the floor. Grabbing my right foot and having a 'conversation' aka CURSING at it.... !@#$%^&*(!@#!#@$
As stated earlier (ref: Para 2, EARLY MORNING), WHAY DID I RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was sitting on the ground holding my foot and thinking, what the hell do I do now?? The following pictogram will show u my dilemma.
HELPLESS! I decided to make my way to the range.. If I went to the toilet, my struggling rate would be x3. and anyway, the mood to sh#@ was gone..
The place or area that caused me to fall is even more bewildering!! As my teammates saw me limping back, they all asked me what happened? Of course given the smarts that they have and their ‘knowledge’ of my short living history, they went like, ‘You fell down? How? Oooo… I know, the SLOPE isit?? Told you to be careful leh….’ blah blah blah...
I didn’t dare to answer them as 1) my ankle was swelling at a super fast rate, I thought I was holding my thigh! 2) eh… I fell.. or rather tripped.. on a flat pavement.. or so I feel that there was a edge that caused me to trip.
But after a while, my team-mates felt their answer didn’t seem right either, because, 1) they would had heard me screaming/cursing/yelling if I fell on the slope, (the slope is the ‘entrance’ to the shooting ground), 2) its too common a place for me to fall.. my falls are normally more dramatic/ weirder than this. I was squeezed for an answer… WHERE’S THE SYMPATHY??!!
Here goes the description of the relatively flat ground, hey, I have to use the word RELATIVELY…cox it aint very flat… that’s y I tripped!!!
You know the silver panels that are the covers of the drains you see along the pavements, yup… I had tripped on the edges of them. so imagine this, the panels are placed on the sunken land and the surrounding ground are like slightly higher than the panels. Hence, to me, they are known as edges that are potential hazards. Ok.. that’s where I tripped and fell.. and had a bandaged over my ankle…
HEY, COME ON.. GO TAKE A CLOSE LOOK AT THOSE PANELS ONE DAY AND YOU’LL REALISED ITS DANGER!!! So QUIT that dumb/ queer look you’ll give me or while reading this!!!!
