in the midst of things.. good or bad?
is it a good thing to be in the thick of things? this i start to wonder. though its great to know alot of things, whether those that concern u directly or those that are of other people's businesses. hungry for knowledge, hungry for gossips. it seems to be most people's nature to WANT TO KNOW THINGS.. in short--kaypoh.. but having held 2 jobs that requires me to be at front-line of things.. i really start to have second thoughts of whether i want to know the depth of the issues.
1st job experience that i had--mediacorp news..
thing the job scope itself tells how much i am required to find out and do. i was a sports reporter.. its thru me that the news gets passed to the people here is Singapore.. waaa.. ok.. i am boasting.. but, its true.. i have to keep abreast of the latest news... or how the rest gets the news and footages of those not shown on tv or live matches??!! so credits to me.. yay!! :p
2nd job (currently doing it.. less than 1 month old.)--People's Association
so what the hell is it?? in short, my job scope is simply fostering relationships with the common people. helping them as well as linking them to the various government bodies.so i am the LINK between the people and the govrt. i have to listen to every whim and whimsies of the common people and then try to reiterate them to the ministers or advisers to the area.. but note.. i have to polish up the 'complains'.. remember, i have to bring up the issues to the big shots.. i have to make them sound like suggestions instead of complains.. hiaz..
so now its the election period.. which happens only once every 5 years here in Singapore.. and waaalaa.. i am involved in it!! wat a coincidence!! for a typical Singaporean youth (i am still young), who doesnt care much about my home politics.. to be involved in it is pretty surprising and new to me.. its exciting and interesting.. the things that i 'discovered' were simply overwhelming.. i cant go into details.. not here in the blog.. freedom of speech has its limits.. being a Singaporean, limits me even more... i can be sued and now, due to my job manner, watever i say now is LIABLE.. SCARY... which is also sad.. cox my nick, 'un-containable', simply means that i have things that i cant say (to people directly) or hav too much to say that is over-spilling, hence i set up a blog.. so now... though i would love to share or write here so as for me to read abt it next time.. is a no no.. gosh.. i ahve so much to say.. wanna say soo much.. and share my thoughts.. but now, they are political.. though my thoughts.. but can used against me now.. intead of havin a coffee-shop talk here.. i can be quoted.. i would say i disagree with how the system of polling is runned here.. but hav to agree on their methods employed as well.. this is as much as i can say..
so mayb.. i hav to learn how to code my words or mayb.. to my frens.. when we meet, let me talk ok?? cox i have loads to blare out.. PLEASE!! hahaaaa
